Video game startup Skypig took 2nd place and $10,000 at yesterday’s Entrepreneur Quest Student Accelerator Pitch Competition in Columbia, MO.
“The company creates tabletop games all centered around the themes of imagination, creativity and entrepreneurship,” said Skypig founder Aaron Heienickle in a LinkedIn post. “I tried to have fun with my pitch. I guess that worked out for my game company.”
Skypig is headquartered in Weldon Spring, MO and was founded in May, 2021
The competition, held Wednesday in the Bond Life Sciences Center of MU-Columbia, had 10 teams competing for $15K, $10K and $5K seed money.
Gregg Bier, executive director of entrepreneurship programs for the university, declined to provide a list of participants and winners. Media contacts for the event did not respond to emails requesting the same.
