The Culture Think Tank raised $3.1M in seed funding from undisclosed sources, after launching a working Beta this spring. The company is pre-revenue, but completed an enterprise pilot in 2021 with Walmart, Canada. The data analytic platform and app gathers and interprets employee information for assessments about their company culture.

“(It) is really important for management to feed back to their people,” CEO Will Lindstrom told bizblip. “That’s what gets engagement, helps drive up culture.”

The app allows managers to maintain open communication with workers. The ‘Beta’ companies TCTT is working with right now help Lindstrom better streamline how that works – without having managers logged into a computer. The startup is prepping for a full launch in app stores this fall, as well as making the software available in a variety of languages besides English. Pre-revenue, the company still gets a fair amount of press: notably in Managed HR Magazine and Advancements TV (a Bloomberg property.)

The Culture Think Tank launched in 2015 from a consultancy, based on research started as far back as 2008. The company has three full time employees, one full time contractor and Lindstrom says he expects to hire three more full time employees by the end of the year. The company is headquartered in Kansas City, Mo.
