The Kansas City startup Whipz landed $1.8M in pre-seed funding since its formation in January. The company is building a digital retail platform for used cars.
“We provide a completely digital purchase experience for higher mileage, affordable cars,” CEO Anders Ericson said in a LinkedIn post. “We are streamlining acces to financing for low credit or thin credit profiles to help them in an affordable vehicle.”
M25, KCRise Fund, Lancaster Investments, Nelnet and unnamed supporters participated in the round.
“Now it’s time to get to work building,” Ericson added, noting that the company is pre-launch.
