Greenhouse gas data platform Dynamhex landed a $49,908 Phase I STTR grant from the Air Force. The grant supports research for the project done by University of Missouri, Kansas City. The grant was awarded in February of this year, but because of irregularities with the SBIR/STTR reporting system that have plagued sbir.gov for the last two years, did not become readily available to the public until this summer.
Dynamhex is developing AI (machine learning) to connect governments, residents and businesses with clean-tech vendors through an app, to form a marketplace for carbon reduction decision making. The company was formed in August, 2018 and claims both Lee’s Summit, MO and Deleware, MD as its headquarters. A founder declined to comment on this story.
Note: The SBIR and STTR grant system is administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration on behalf of Congress. When massive delays, or omissions, in grant reporting became apparent in the spring of 2022 bizblip (then 4thEst8) publisher Paul Riat contacted the SBA for explanation. They have not yet responded, and bizblip does not have the legal fund to fight on your behalf under the Freedom of Information Act.
