Greenfield Incorporated, formerly Greenfield Robotics, announced several new hires to its team and advisory board today, including talent from leading tech startups SpaceX and Proterra, among others. This news comes as the agricultural robotics company prepares for the 2023 crop season with the goal of providing chemical-free food systems.

Clint Brauer, Greenfield CEO

“Royce Steinert… he’ been working with us as a consultant for a couple years and he has this incredible ability to bring hardware to market,” CEO Clint Brauer told bizblip. “How do you mature your hardware platform? You’ve seen it, we weren’t very mature. We’re pretty mature now!”

The new hires include:

  • Dolly Singh, Acting Head of Talent & Advisor. Ms. Singh has extensive experience in building and scaling industry-leading teams, as well as expertise in human capital, culture, and innovation.
  • Royce Steinert has been hired as Head of Hardware. Mr. Steinert has 28 years of experience developing hardware mobility solutions, growing Excel Industries 10 product groups and 230 unique vehicle models to $400 million in annual sales and an acquisition by Stanley Black & Decker.
  • Joshua Stewart, joining the team as an Advisor, Mr. brings leadership in customer success and engineering from his experience at commercial vehicle electrification company Proterra and powertrain design experience in NASCAR and the U.S. Army.
  • Nick Rrapushi is the new Head of Electrical Engineering. Mr. Rrapushi has a wealth of experience designing and building unmanned vehicles for the US military, surgical robotics at Medtronic, and defense-grade products at MORSE Corp.

GreenField Incorporated has raised $8 million so far, most of that coming this past June from a ‘Series unknown’ round. Identified investors include Asymmetry Ventures and the 6ixth Event. The company started putting its prototype robots into its first customer’s fields in the spring of 2021 and claims a dozen full time employees. Brauer says this expansion of the executive team and advisory board is an important step in the company’s growth and demonstrates their commitment to providing chemical-free food systems. With these new hires, Greenfield Incorporated is poised to make a lasting impact on regenerative agriculture and the American food system.
