Healthcare technology startup Aegis Digital Health just hired a new customer success manager. The company helps medical practices generate revenue through diabetic patient enrollment and review services.

Stephen Von Rump, Aegis Digital Health CEO

“With our business model, the customer success manager is everything,” CEO, Stephen Von Rump told bizblip.  “We could sell 10 customers, but if we don’t enroll any patients, we’ll never make any money. This is probably the single most important person in our company.”

Von Rump said the new employee, who he declined to name, had to have clinical experience, specifically experience in working in a doctor’s office, so they can effectively communicate with doctors, clinical staff, and patients.

Founded in January 2021, Aegis Digital Health doesn’t  charge any upfront fees or monthly subscriptions. Instead, they generate revenue by enrolling patients in their program and facilitating reimbursement codes that healthcare providers would not easily tap into. The company only profits when they bring revenue to the practices they work with. Aegis recently was awarded $75,000 by Arch Grants as part of the 2023 cohort. on Rump said the company is growing revenues, but declined to discuss figures. The company also raised an undisclosed round from the Missouri Technology Corporation in May, 2023.
