Captvr3d, a virtual tour company founded in 2019, is expanding its services to include customized AI chatbot solutions using Zapier’s new platform. The company, which specializes in creating virtual tours for businesses and other institutions like Columbia College, is now leveraging its expertise to develop tailored AI chatbot solutions for businesses and organizations.
“We’re not offering the product itself – we’re offering our services at creating the product, customizing it, versus making clients learn the hard way through mistakes we’ve already learned from,” the company’s CEO Charisse Smith told bizblip.
The company’s new service focuses on developing specialized chatbots that can be embedded in websites or shared via links, with features including hallucination prevention, custom knowledge bases, and comprehensive backend analytics. The solution allows organizations to analyze user information and chat transcripts, to help ease any follow-up interactions.
Since its founding, Captvr3d has built its reputation in the virtual tour space, with a particular focus on serving educational institutions. The company’s expansion into AI chatbot services comes after Smith identified a market opportunity following her attendance at a 2023 startup weekend event focused on AI applications.
Smith declined to disclose revenue figures or how this new service might impact them. The service operates on a continuing contract basis, including ongoing support and updates as Zapier’s platform evolves. Zapier, headquartered in San Francisco, got its start in Columbia Mo. at what is now named Missouri Startup Weekend. Its CEO Wade Foster frequents that event and mostly lives in Columbia. Zapier launched its AI chatbot platform late last year. It can be used to automate customer support, lead generation, sales, marketing, and many other aspects of online business that requires automation
