St. Charles-based startup iCover is named a “most fundable” company by Pepperdine University, beating out 3,000 other contenders in a prestigious competition. The company, which serves the insurance industry using AI and blockchain technologies, stood out among the 17 final winners selected this year.

“We have taken on different services and opportunities within the life insurance sector, and all of our research and development projects are now coming to fruition,” CEO Harri Srinivasan told bizblip. “This not only translates into more revenue for us but also positions us for sustained growth in the future.”

Srinivasan also said his team now stands at 30 full time employees, double a year ago, and the company is projected to be profitable next year.  Founded in July 2019, the company raised and undisclosed pre-seed round in August, 2021 and closed a $5M seed round in August, 2022 from angel investor Kesan Parasuraman.
