AI help desk automation startup Capacity just acquired social media marketing software startup Denim Social and San Diego, Cal. voice tech startup LumenVox for an undisclosed sum. Capacity is an AI-powered support automation platform.
LumenVox’s speech and voice tools will enable Capacity users to transform customer engagement with AI–driven speech recognition and voice authentication technology.
Capacity‘s CEO, David Karandish, believes the acquisitions will free up team members to do their best work while also building more meaningful relationships with their customers.
“Customers need support everywhere,” said Karandish in a statement. He did not respond to bizblip requests for an interview. “Our expanded platform will enable users to more effectively stay engaged on social media”
With the acquisitions, Capacity‘s headcount is now more than 100 employees and it is estimated that every month its platform will analyze 3,000,000,000 calls, send 10,000,000 SMS messages, deliver 500,000 social posts, execute 386,000 workflows and automations, and deflect 140,000 tickets and emails.
Capacity was founded in 2017 by David Karandish and Chris Sims, and is headquartered in St. Louis. Capacity has raised more than $62M, including $38M Series C in Jan. 2022.
