SweetSpot has been invited to present the findings of a real-world clinical study on patient outcomes at the American Diabetes Association Annual Conference in June in New Orleans — one of the largest gatherings in the diabetes care field.

Stephen Von Rump, SweetSpot CEO

“Being able to present these findings, that show is going to get us some very good visibility — this is a sales lead generator, make no mistake about that,” Stephen Von Rump, CEO and co-founder of SweetSpot, told bizblip. The company said the study results, which are embargoed until the presentation, demonstrated measurable improvements in glycemic control for patients on the platform. Von Rump also noted the findings begin to position SweetSpot for value-based care contracts, a reimbursement model where clinical outcomes — not billing codes — determine compensation.

St. Louis-based SweetSpot, founded in 2020 and originally named Aegis Digital Health, provides a centralized software platform that manages data from continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps, pairing it with support from Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists. The specialists conduct monthly data reviews and work with providers and patients on treatment adjustments. SweetSpot has more than 30 employees and was named a 2025 company to watch by the American Diabetes Association.

SweetSpot completed a $1 million bridge round last September led by Cultivation Capital and received a $100,000 non-dilutive growth grant from Arch Grants, following its original $75,000 Arch Grants award in 2023. The company is currently raising a Series A round.
