Disruptel Inc. announced landing $1.15 million in seed funding today. PJC and Progress Ventures led the round, with participation from a handful of individual investors, notably Adam Cheyer – co-founder of Siri.
“We fund-raised a little bit in the past. I think we had raised a little bit over $700,000 prior to this, but this was, by far, the most significant funding event that we’ve had,” Disruptel CEO Alex Quinn told the 4thEst8. “It gives us the resources that we need to continue with our ‘go to market’ strategy and continue to develop the platform.”
Disruptel was founded in October of 2017, has five full time employees and is part of the Arch Grants 2020 cohort. It is also a portfolio company at Capital Innovators in St. Louis, and a part of the ITEN innovation community.
Quinn shared with the 4thEst8 where some of this money will go.
“We have three full time engineers,” Quinn said. “We do plan on hiring additional members to our engineering team.”
