“Our patent has been officially published in China,” said Erkios Systems CEO Sean Null in a social media post. “We thought this was pretty cool.”

Patent Number ZL 201880038620.0 is for a “port security device for computing devices and method of operating such” and generally falls in line with the U.S. patent issued to Null and Philip Van der Straeten in May, 2018.

Null told the 4thEst8 in March that he was busy getting his patent recognized in global markets including the European Union and India.

Patent number 9,965,655 is behind the company’s physical access control device called FortiFi RJ-45. The company also registerd a low powered transmitter with the FCC called EPRJ45. An FCC ID is the product ID assigned by the Federal Communications Commission to identify wireless products in the market.

According to the site Zoominfo.com the Kansas City company has six employees and about a million dollars in annual revenue.
