Nick Love, Love Lifesciences CEO

“That money has actually allowed us to initiate the scale manufacturing process for our single use injection device,” CEO Nick Love told bizblip. “Our hop is to actually complete that manufacturing process and initiate the FDA testing. The timeline has shrunk, tremendously.”

The startup is developing a series of safety injection devices to prevent needle-stick and dosing error, as well as an improved injection experience for those self administering medications. Love and co-founder CTO Bradley Hopper started device development in October, 2020… launching the company in May, 2021. It is headquartered in Overland Park, KS. They landed a $25,000 grant from the Kansas Department of Commerce’s KITE Proof of Concept program, and $20K from Digital Sandboxin 2021. The rest of the capital used to start the company came from the founders.

Love is being honored tonight as one of the “Kansas Next Gen under 30” at a gala in Topeka.

“It’s really cool to see that the state is really targeting the younger generation that’s trying to make a massive difference in Kansas,” Love said. “I’m honored to be nominated for the work.”
