MyAnIML has completed development of its product line that enables ranchers to detect cattle diseases without Wi-Fi, electricity, or additional infrastructure. The AI-powered system uses devices and a mobile app to capture images of cattle faces and send notifications when signs of illness are detected days before symptoms appear. Early trials with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) confirmed 99 percent accuracy in detecting pink eye and 80 percent accuracy for bovine respiratory disease.

“The moat that we have is built on the strength of our data and models, and now ranchers can access this without worrying about infrastructure or connectivity,” founder and CEO Shekhar Gupta told bizblip. He noted that MyAnIML has collected more than 700 gigabytes of proprietary image data directly from ranchers over three years, and the system continuously retrains itself to improve accuracy.

Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Overland Park, Kan., MyAnIML develops AI-based tools to help ranchers lower treatment costs, reduce herd losses, and improve overall livestock health. The company has tested its system on hundreds of animals, partnered with West Texas A&M for expanded trials, and worked with the USDA on independent studies.

Funding for MyAnIML has come through a combination of bootstrapping, accelerator support, and seed investment. The startup joined TechStars-KC in 2021 with $120,000 in convertible note funding, participated in the PAX Momentum incubator, and has raised a reported $295,000 to date.
