Jordan Williams, Veeper CEO

Veeper CEO Jordan Williams turned to LinkedIn to crow about a complete rebuild of his app, and appears to have tipped his hand at hiring a new CTO.

Veeper 2.0 is Live.. complete rebuild and launch in six weeks,” he said in his post last Friday. “We did a lot of testing with our first launch and saw some things that needed fixing. It’s now more optimized, faster and dare I say much prettier.”

Veeper is a Shopify app that applies discounts in real time, giving buyers an incentive to add things to their cart as they shop. The company won the 2021 Render Capital competition, and $100,000 with the stipulation that it make Louisville, Kentucky it’s home for a year. The company also secured a $20,000 ‘SAFE’ from Dorm Room Fund and is a recipient of a $20,000 Digital Sandbox Kansas City Grant.

In a PM two weeks ago Williams told the 4thEst8 he was going to announce hiring a new CTO in a week. That didn’t happen, but the company LinkedIn page now sports two CTO’s – one is new.

The startup launched in July, 2020 with Williams, COO Julian Taylor and CTO Mark Neville of St. Charles, MO. Neville is still claiming that title on LinkedIn but so is Veeper newcomer Wasim Irshad, Ph.D. Williams declined repeated requests for interview.
