A year after on-boarding his first paid Beta customer, Verified Backups CEO Chris Marshall says his first customer signed on for a second year… and they are not alone.

“We’re starting to get traction… we’re not pre-revenue,” he said, adding that a half-dozen Beta customers gave him a lot of guidance in development. “It’s all automated… Every day, it runs and does it’s thing and emails the customers and lets them know that their cloud backups have been checked and verified and date checked and everything is well.”
Marshall began developing the platform as an extension of his data consulting business, but says he expects other data consultants to use it for their work.
“When somebody is working with a client and dealing with their critical data, why would they not want to add a piece that doesn’t interfere with that relationship, but enhances the service?” he said.
The platform launched in April 2021, and is bootstrapped.
