“I offer data protection to the customer, the software developer gets 30 to 40% of their monthly revenue that they’re paying me to have data protection,” Marshall said. “In a week, I almost tripled my customer base,”
Marshall went on to explain that software developers are then vested in data protection for their customers, but it’s not something they can do themselves. He added that this new business activity has already seen success, with a local software distributor having signed up 25% of his customers.
Marshall began developing the platform as an extension of his data consulting business, and initially expected other data consultants to use it for their work. The platform launched in April 2021 in St. Louis, Missouri. Marshall is currently bootstrapping the platform.
