CITY FOUNDRY PARTNERS WITH GIFTAMEAL SO GUESTS CAN DO GOOD WHILE EATING GOOD

Thanks to City Foundry, foodies of all types can make a difference locally in St. Louis.

Beginning March 16, 2022, all fifteen concepts inside the Food Hall will be participating in the GiftAMeal program. Fans of petite cheesecakes and Senegalese cuisine alike will be invited to use the free GiftAMeal app to provide meals locally just by photographing their experience.

The announcement follows breakout success with four independent kitchens in the popular new complex (Sureste Mexican, Patty’s Cheesecakes, Good Day, and Sub Division).

According to Alexander Henry, chef and owner at Sureste, the appeal of the GiftAMeal program for the St. Louis foodie community is simple:

Part of owning a small business is wanting to give back to the community. It was an easy option to give back and get other people onboard with it, while also promoting ourselves.”

The concepts at City Foundry – selected to shine a spotlight on chefs from around the region – range from elevated modern staples to bold fusion cuisine. But whether they’re serving up artisan ice pops or late night waffles, each concept in the development has demonstrated one thing in common: they’re all-in for St. Louis.

The partnership with GiftAMeal will support Operation Food Search, a St. Louis hunger-relief nonprofit that distributes over 50 tons of healthy groceries daily through a network of 200+ food pantries.

“What an exciting partnership!” remarked GiftAMeal founder and CEO Andrew Glantz. “Of course, anyone who’s been to City Foundry knows that it features some of the most photogenic and delicious food brands you’ve ever seen. That’s a given.”

“Even more exciting to me is how many different people will be able to get involved with our feel-good program to lift up our community and heal childhood hunger.

“I know there are going to be a lot of smiling faces in my social media feed.” concluded Glantz with pride, “I’m going to be one of them!”
