Business texting startup Textel just integrated its platform with Five9 as part of it’ aggressive growth strategy. The St. Louis based startup provides a text messaging solution (both proactive and reactive) to customer service centers.

James Diel, Textel CEO

“Our growth model is based on integration into players such as Five9,” founder and CEO James Diel told the 4thEst8. “We already work with NICE inContact and Genesys – a couple of their big competitors – so this is another leg in the stool to grow our customer base as well as direct opportunities we are pursuing.”

Five9 – a CCAS (contact center as a service) NASDAQ: FIVN was just acquired by Zoom this week for $14.7 billion.

Founded in 2014 Textel is headquartered in St. Louis, has “about 35 employees” and is currently hiring on Indeed. They landed a Series A in 2020 for $4 million, led by Cultivation Capital. That was preceded by a seed round of $1 million.
